Five and Dime Auditions

Come Back to the Five and Dime,
Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean

by Ed Graczyk.

Synopsis

In a small town dime store in West Texas in 1975, the “Disciples of
James Dean” gather for their 20th reunion. Now middle-aged women,
they were teenagers when Dean filmed Giant 20 years ago in nearby
Marfa. One of the women, an extra in the film, has a child whom she
says was conceived with Dean during the shoot. The ladies’ reunion is
mingled with flashbacks to their youth. The arrival of a beautiful but
familiar stranger sets off a series of confrontations.
